"My work focuses on suggestively narrative,
small scale habitats where teacups are characters perching over
a ground of clay balls or cereal bowls form a herd moving across
grass. I am indulging my affinity for excess; allowing myself to
be playful with the intent of later inviting the viewer to play,
too. Luring someone to engage tactilely with a piece is an arch
goal, achieved through attention to surface, sound, and function.
These considerations are an invitation to begin a relationship in
which, through use, a piece reveals itself."
