Bowls :: Friday, February 19, 2010 :: 11am-1pm The yearly Empty Bowls fundraiser for the North Texas Food Bank is coming up, Friday, February 19, at the Meyerson Symphony Center in downtown Dallas. For $35 at the door ($30 in advance), you get to choose from among the many handmade bowls donated by area artists, including myself. Complimentary lunch is provided by some twenty local restaurants. "FIERCE: An art show benefiting the Cameron Park Zoo", March 4 from 5:30-8:30pm Cameron Park Zoo and The Croft Gallery are teaming up to host a fundraising exhibit featuring art made both by the animals in the zoo and by local artists, including myself. Artist were invited to make a piece based on a behind the scenes tour of the zoo. The show will be on display at the Croft Gallery during the month of March. Clay3 October 23 to November 21, 2009, Warrenville, IL The show was sponsored by Clay Space Ceramic Arts Studio. All work was displayed in a 12"x12"x12" glass box. The opening was Friday, October 23 at IBEW-Local Union 701. The show closed November 21. The piece I submitted is titled Small Dish Among Stars and features the dish that traveled from Texas to Arizona and back, pausing for photo-ops along the way. From the Ground Up XXIV, September 4 - November 7, 2009, Las Cruces, New Mexico My "twice fired egg tray" was selected to be shown in From the Ground Up XXIV, the Regional Juried Ceramics Exhibition in Las Cruces, New Mexico, which will be open from September 4 to November 7, with the artist's reception on Friday, September 4 from 5-7PM in the Museum of Art. |
